Movies Posters

Movie posters have been in existence since the early 1900’s in the form of placards being carried around outside movie halls of the time. Although the posters were just made up from some lines of text showing the film’s title and the lead stars, over time it has been developed into the popular movie poster we all know and see in movie theaters worldwide while still retaining its main advertising goal.

As mentioned above, the typical “placard” movie posters during moving picture’s early days have since been undergoing many changes and with the advent of today’s technology, the posters have made an exponentially huge leap in fulfilling its mission today and some poster designs in the last century had become so creative and “artistic”, that collecting posters had become a pastime among movie aficionados.
